Hello & Welcome
GrassRoutes Cohousing (formerly Waterloo Region Cohousing Project - WRCP) is a group of people creating a sustainable cohousing community in the Waterloo Region or Guelph, Ontario, Canada.
Our plan is to build 24 tightly clustered homes and a Common House, combining the advantages of privacy with shared common facilities. It will include parking on the periphery and shared outdoor spaces, resources, and activities, including meals and celebrations.
This Just In... Guelph Possibilities
As a New Year dawns, we are focused on a possible new direction and a new (ad)venture: GrassRoutes Cohousing and Speedvale Cohousing are meeting together to talk more about our shared vision for cohousing and possibly joining together. We want to explore avenues for collaboration and growth.
As emerging cohousing communities, each with several years of formation experience, both have weathered the pandemic storm and are looking to move ahead in creating a built community in Guelph!
GrassRoutes Information and Conversation Session
GrassRoutes cohousing is pleased to be offering an Information and Conversation Session for the cohousing curious. We will introduce the cohousing life-style and share information about GrassRoutes Cohousing, an intentional community we are working hard to build in Kitchener-Waterloo area. There will be opportunities to ask questions of our current members, and to become part of our community.

We're Officially Incorporated - August 2021!
We're ready to do business together as a community. This means we can buy land/property/building and get this party started!
We envision courageous, innovative communities in which people actively care for each other and the environment.
We are building a sustainable, intergenerational neighbourhood that is socially and economically inclusive, we positively engage with each other and the wider community.
